This has been a sponsored campaign on behalf of Proctor & Gamble and Tide. All dirty clothes, smells and opinions are my own.
I know what you’re all thinking, but you’re wrong! I’m not bashing family travel, in fact, I love traveling with my family. We have been to over 23 countries together and I wouldn’t trade any of those trips for the entire world.
Well, there is one thing that I would change. Coming home with three weeks worth of dirty clothes that have been cooped up in a piece of luggage and shoved underneath a plane for 13 hours. That’s when family travel starts to stink!
When Family Travel Starts to Stink
I’m not even sure if stink is even the right word… rancid, wretched, apocalyptic?! It’s the kind of smell that rivals what I can only imagine would be a mixture of two-month old cooked broccoli, milk that now looks like yogurt in the carton and my socks (I’m just being honest).
When we get home from trips, I usually step up and volunteer to put everyone’s clothes into separate piles. I just make sure that I come prepared.
Tide PODS
Washing clothes is one of the last things that I want to do after exploring the world. Just three days ago I was at the Eiffel Tower eating baguettes and some cheese that NO ONE, including the French, can pronounce.
That’s actually another thing that our laundry smells like, a French cheese. Now I’m trying to figure out which cycle, of what I’m only assuming are whites, need to go on. Then I grab an essential for after-travel laundry – Tide PODS.
This is where my brain and body start to relax. Tide PODS are easy to use. Just throw in one or two pods depending on the state of your clothes and let it work its magic. Our clothes come out soft, stain-free and smelling clean.
Tide has also incorporated Child-Guard Zip Bags and a Child-Guard Tub to keep parents’ minds at ease when it comes to their kids’ safety. The new packaging, which is similar to the way you would open a medicine bottle, helps deter children from getting into the Tide PODS, which means they’re safe to roam around the house while I’m tackling their piles of laundry. Like you would with any household cleaner, it’s important to keep kids safe by storing the Tide PODS on a high shelf where little hands can’t reach and out of sight.
Tide also created a parenting safety style quiz to help us understand our unique style when it comes to protecting our kids (well technically, it’s what unique animal best describes our style), and provide some helpful tips on unexpected dangers lurking on laundry day, beach day, and more. So how do you stack up when it comes to your child’s safety? Take the quiz and let’s compare results!
I’m a cheetah – I’m fast on my feet, adaptable and nimble…who knew?
