I was compensated and provided free product by Hasbro and Life of Dad. All opinions are my own.
Let me start by telling you this… I am a HUGE Star Wars fan. I was 5 years-old when I saw the original Star Wars and I had an almost immediate connection. It was like being on an amusement park ride for 2 hours— my mother still says, to this day, that she’d never seen me so excited about a film.
My fondest Christmas memory was the year I got the original Star Wars Death Star set. I walked into the family room on Christmas morning, wiping my tired eyes … and there it was. It was the coolest thing I had ever seen in my life! Santa had already put it together for me (’cause Santa is COOL like that!) and it literally stopped me in my tracks. I played with it for many years to come, and it provided many fun and fond memories that I still cherish to this day.
Unfortunately, I don’t have those toys anymore — though I wish I could have shared them with my daughter. She has become quite the Star Wars fan girl over the last year and I’ve only been able to tell her about how awesome my Star Wars toys were.
That’s why I was crazy excited to discover Star Wars Command.
The new STAR WARS COMMAND line of toys lets kids #CommandTheForce, by allowing them to use their imagination and recreate some of the greatest battles in STAR WARS history. They’re a great combination of classic army play with collectability and they have some really innovative action features. STAR WARS COMMAND puts control of the entire STAR WARS saga in kids’ (and adults) hands.
The nine figure packs start out at just $4.99!
STAR WARS COMMAND lets kids build huge armies for an affordable price for the ultimate epic STAR WARS battles. We received 5 different sets and had a blast playing with all of them! But, we both agreed our favorite was the STAR WARS® COMMAND MILLENNIUM FALCON Set
. It retails for only $29.99 and features one of the most iconic vehicles in the STAR WARS universe, plus two armies for everything kids need to stage an epic battle right out of the box! Kids can pull back the MILLENNIUM FALCON and see it race forward then blast into battle at hyper speed! The set also comes with 24 permanently posed and collectibly-sized figures which includes 22 soldiers and two specially detailed Generals—plus six vehicles on stands and two special Strikers that kids can rev up and launch into battle!
My daughter and I started assembling huge armies of rebels and minions of the Empire, hoping to create one of the greatest battles ever imagined in the Star Wars galaxy! We started to envision a battle on the Moon Of Endor, but with a Planet Hoth twist.
After a long and glorious battle, my daughter and I decided to call it a draw. We both had so much fun and she’s already asked when our next battle will be… she thinks she’ll be able to take her old man. She’s got me scared, The force is strong with her!
