Skip The Line At The Airport With CLEAR

I am a dad on the go and when I travel I don’t like to waste time. I like to try to maximize my time in every way possible. There are a few things I like to do before a big trip to make life a little easier.

  1. I like to roll my clothes in my luggage and then press them when I get to my destination.
  2. I always bring snacks and headphones so I don’t have to depend on the flight attendant to take care of that.
  3. I look to see where my connecting flights are before I get to them.
  4. I always bring extra batteries in case my mobile devices run out of juice and I can’t plug them in somewhere.

These are just a few things that help me when I travel. I’ve also started using a new service called CLEAR!

CLEAR is a membership-based service that allows you to get through airport security faster. Let’s be honest… That is always a plus!!! A CLEAR membership costs $179 annually, or about $15 a month. I added my wife to my account for $50 and kids under 18 are free if they are traveling with a CLEAR member. So, my daughter is covered as well.

Here are some of places where you can find it. CLEAR is now open in 11 major airports with more opening very soon. The current airports with CLEAR lanes are San Francisco (SFO), San Jose (SJC), Las Vegas (LAS), Denver (DEN), Houston (IAH & HOU), San Antonio (SAT), Dallas (DFW), Orlando (MCO), Baltimore (BWI), Westchester (HPN), and Miami (MIA) coming soon.

I’m a big baseball fan, so I’m really excited that CLEAR is also expanding into select Major League Baseball parks around the country. Starting at AT&T Park in San Francisco and Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas. CLEAR members and their families can now get into the game faster (with an expedited security screening process) with just a tap of their finger.

How To Sign Up:

To enroll in CLEAR, you must present either an US Passport or US issued Permanent Resident/Alien Registration Card PLUS an approved secondary ID (State Issued ID, Drivers License, Military ID, or Foreign Passport). All IDs must be valid, unamended, and unexpired and you must be at least 18 years old.
