I’m that guy. The one who looks like he has been slapped in the face with a hammer when he wakes up! I can’t help it. It’s been like that since I was a teenager. When I finally discovered coffee, it was if the heavens parted, angels sang and a smile finally crept across my morning face. Now that I’m a dad, sometimes my mind is frazzled and I forget my morning coffee. Then I have to explain to people, “Pardon my face… I haven’t had any coffee yet!”
I’ve mentioned this before, I’ve been getting my daughter up and taking her to school every morning since she was four-years-old. It’s our time together and as a father, I cherish this time with her. I make her some breakfast, I brew myself some coffee and we get ready for the day.
My daughter has always been inquisitive about my morning coffee ritual. I’m old school. I boil some water and break out my french press.
I’m also not a “flavors” kind of guy. I drink my Folgers® Coffeehouse Blend black. If someone asks me, “What flavored coffee do you like?”. My response is, “Coffee flavored coffee.” Folgers Coffeehouse Blend is a medium-dark roast designed to produce a unique coffee experience that starts off smooth and ends with a bold, distinct flavor. No pretension. Just great tasting coffee.
My wife is on the other end of the spectrum when it comes to her coffee (And yes… I make my wife coffee every morning. I know. I’m a keeper!). She likes creamers, milks, a light dusting of cinnamon and the occasional seasonal syrup. But, that’s why we drink Folgers Coffeehouse Blend.
With Father’s Day around the corner, I’m hoping that I get breakfast in bed. I’ve requested my French Pressed Folgers Coffeehouse Blend to start out. No one wants to start out Father’s Day saying, “Pardon my face… I haven’t had any coffee yet!”
With a blend this versatile, all coffee lovers can create – and explore – their favorite brewing traditions and discover something new right at home. To learn more, visit www.folgerscoffee.com/coffeehouse-blends.
