I have partnered with Life of Dad and Very Berry Cheerios for this campaign, but my opinions are my own.
My mom used to get me up every morning and we would have breakfast before school. It’s a memory that I’ve always cherished and carried into my adult life. We would sit down and share some eggs and sometimes pancakes. I was a huge fan of cereal, so that was usually our breakfast of choice. I made a promise to myself, that when I had kids of my own, I would get up with them every morning and we would eat some grub and just hang out with each other. When my daughter started going to Pre-K, I started making breakfast for her every morning. She’s now in Junior High and we still have the same ritual. It’s our time together and I look forward to it each day. We talk about life, what’s going on at school and why I constantly like to answer my phone in a Kermit the Frog voice. You know… The usual stuff! One morning over cereal, I realized that my daughter and I are buddies!
I’m hoping it will be something that she will do with her kids. That way, when they come over to see granddad, we’ll be able to have a big ole family breakfast and I can embarrass my daughter by telling her children about all the crazy stuff she did and then show them photographic proof!
My daughter has the same affection for cereal that her old man does. There is never less than five different types of cereal in our pantry. Over the years we’ve come to the delicious conclusion that cereal is good ANYTIME of day. We’re always on the lookout for something new and yummy to put in our cereal bowls.
Very Berry Cheerios
Cheerios have been loved by parents and kids for years. We all know that kids also love berries. Kids love to smash them. Berries are messy. Berries are beautiful. Berries are delicious, playful, colorful, delightful, and have silly names. Like Straw, Blue, Raz, and Snozz.
Berries should be EVERYWHERE.
That’s why the people at Cheerios are making Very Berry Cheerios. Now you can have the taste of berries in every bite, wherever that bite may be. My daughter and I decided to have a bowl of Very Berry Cheerios while we were putting together some new furniture.
Here are some other Dads who love having Very Berry Cheerios with their kids.
