There are many things that are great about getting older. You’re wiser, you work smarter not harder, you have a stronger sense of who you are and you like eating dinner at 4:30 pm (I kid, I kid!). One of the bad things is, your metabolism goes haywire. No longer can you eat half a bag of chips and not worry about gaining weight.
That was tough for me, because I am a snacker. I mean, I LOVE to snack! With football season coming up, I’ve been trying to find healthy alternatives to my usual snacking choices. My wife suggested celery sticks… I’d rather eat squares of cardboard dipped in glue. I don’t want a flavorless vegetable that’s going to leave me hungry 15 minutes after I eat it. So I started looking for something that was flavorful, healthy and would fill me up.
