Now that Fuller House is streaming on Netflix, I started thinking about my favorite Full House episode. I think everyone who watched TV in the 80’s and 90’s had a favorite episode and it’s okay to admit it. I honestly didn’t tell anyone for years. My favorite was that episode with Uncle Jesse and The Beach Boys.
How could you not love John Stamos as “Uncle Jesse”? His hair alone was the stuff of legend! At some point I think his hair actually hosted a prime time game show. I’m still checking with some sources about that. It might have just been a wonderful dream that I once had. I was also a HUGE Beach Boys fan and listened to their music quite a bit. Some people might ask, “What’s the connection with John Stamos and The Beach Boys”? Stamos actually toured as a percussionist with them when he wasn’t filming Full House. If you look closely, you can actually see him in the “Kokomo” video.
Over the years my daughter and I have watched the “Beach Boy Bingo” episode and laughed heartily together. I have finally embraced my love of Full House and now my kid is a fan herself. When we heard that Netflix had started production on Fuller House, well… that was a special day in my household.

Here is a brief description of the new series.
In the spinoff series, Fuller House, the adventures that began in 1987 on Full House continue, with veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron-Bure) recently widowed and living in San Francisco. D.J.’s younger sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and D.J.’s lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), along with Kimmy’s feisty teenage daughter Ramona, all move in to help take care of D.J.’s three boys — the rebellious 12-year-old Jackson, neurotic 7-year-old Max and her newborn baby, Tommy Jr.
Did you notice how amazing John Stamos’ hair is? It’s like a beautiful hair halo! My daughter and I had the chance to watch the first six episodes. We loved it! It was just the right mix of nostalgia and new story lines. Fuller House is a series the whole family can enjoy together. We’re actually going to do “Family Watch Nights”. It’s where we watch three episodes at a time until we finish the entire series. It’ll be a great way to have some fun and spend some quality time together.
