I have partnered with Life of Dad and Milk Life for this promotion. Â I have received compensation for my participation, but my passion and thirst for Milk is all my own.
When I was a kid, I loved chocolate milk. Let me interject… LOVED CHOCOLATE MILK!!! It is one of my favorite beverages of all time.
In college, a few of my fraternity brothers were giving me the business because I ordered a glass of chocolate milk while we were all out to dinner one night. I looked at them and asked, “When was the last time you had a glass of chocolate milk? Seriously, you need to drink some and remember how good it is.” Before I knew it, there were ten guys sitting at a bar drinking chocolate milk.
My daughter is also crazy for chocolate milk.
There is something about it that reminds me of my childhood and everything great about being a kid. I’ve passed my love of moo juice onto my daughter and I think she might like it more than I do. If that’s even possible.
But, this summer, a lot of children in America will never know the feeling of drinking a big, refreshing glass of chocolate milk.
More than 22 million children may miss out on milk’s nutrition in the summer months when schools are closed and they lose access to free or reduced-price milk programs.
This summer, America’s dairy farmers and milk companies are on a mission to bring more fresh, nutritious milk to children in need. You can help power the play of these children all summer long with a small donation. For as little as $5, you can deliver a gallon of milk to a family in need in your community through the Feeding America network of food banks.
You Can Donate Here.
Every child deserves to have milk this summer. Milk is a nutrient powerhouse providing 9 essential nutrients, including 8 grams of high-quality protein in each 8 ounce serving. It is one of the most requested items by food bank clients year-round. But it’s especially needed during the summer when kids may be missing out on nutritious meals provided through school breakfast and lunch programs. On average, food banks are only able to provide the equivalent of less than one gallon of milk per person per year. That’s because while Americans are generous with canned and dry goods, many don’t think to donate milk because it’s perishable.
We grew up drinking milk everyday. Now our kids drink milk every day.  It’s our time to show the world how much milk means to our family WHILE helping raise money for The Great American Milk Drive.Â
Oh yeah, June is also National Dairy Month…so it’s all about Milk this month!
Please give and help #TeamSouth get milk to the children who really need it this summer.
