I love to travel! Over the last few years it is a passion that I have been able to indulge in quite heavily. My first trip to Europe happened when I was sixteen-years-old. I was touring in a play, and I’m pretty sure it was at the Canterbury Cathedral in Canterbury, Kent that the travel bug bit me. I’ve been quite lucky to have visited eighteen countries and I have a “bucket list” that has about thirty more on it.
The problem with traveling is that the more of the world you see, the more you want to do. When I’m not on the road, I really begin to miss it. Recently, I have been watching episodes of Rick Steves’ Europe on PBS to help keep the travel bug at bay. With Verizon FiOS Quantum TV, I can DVR all of my favorite episodes and watch them whenever I want to.
Here are some of my favorite cities in Europe. All of these pictures were taken on family vacations!
Barcelona:
You can find every kind of Spanish delicacy you could imagine at La Boqueria.
Aix-en-Provence:
This is a lovely city in the south of France that has one of the best bakeries I have ever been to, Pâtisserie Béchard.
Venice:
Venice is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen!
Dubrovnik:
Dubrovnik, Croatia is one of my favorite cities. Amazing people, great food and wonderfully picturesque.
I have been missing Europe recently, but the good news is that I’m going back in the summer. Until then, I’ll make sure to DVR all of my favorite Rick Steves’ Europe episodes with my Verizon FiOS Quantum TV.
