Columbia bikes are one of the most well known bike brands out there. They should be, since they started selling bicycles before an other company in the USA. Now that spring is here, I’m eager to get out on the road, enjoy the scenery, and start getting back into shape with my sweet 26″ Superb Cruiser from Columbia bikes.

Columbia Bikes Have Been Around the Block

Columbia bikes is back in a big way these days. There’s a movement towards road cruising on bike again, and bicycle lovers are moving away from fancy 10 speeds and mountain bikes to the classic cool look of Columbia bikes, which I think is great. These guys know their stuff.

In addition to being the first bicycle company in the US, Columbia INVENTED the tandem bicycle thanks to their superior engineering knowledge. They were a spin off of Chrysler Motors and the American Motor Company, after all. In fact, their founder, Alexander Pope was a mentor to Henry Ford and his manufacturing breakthrough.

Columbia Bikes – Retro Cool Crusing

I love a good mix of old school and new school, so I was eager to get my Columbia Cruiser bike in the mail and begin putting it together.

As soon as I saw the pieces, I knew this bike was going to be everything I expected. Even disassembled, I could see the classic Columbia bike design shining through with those sweeping lines, chrome handle bars, and the classic Columbia bike seat.

This one speed wonder is built for exactly my speed – cruising. But even cruising can get me into better shape, so I figure, I’ll be styling, taking in the scenery, and getting svelte. You can’t beat that!

I’m loving my Superb Cruiser from Columbia Bikes. It rides like a dream, and it’s got the great retro look that I love. I can’t wait to put this bad boy through its paces while I get into shape and take in the beauty of Florida.
