My wife, Stef, and I recently celebrated our 9th anniversary at Sandals Ochi â€” an all-inclusive, adults-only resort in Ochos Rios, Jamaica. Believe it or not, this was our first getaway without our daughter since we were married (and sheâ€™s now eleven-years-old!). Needless to say, it was a much needed long weekend away on one our favorite Caribbean islands.

We were having an amazing time and halfway through the trip my wife looked at me and said… “We forgot to record Wayward Pines!”Â I started laughing. Wayward Pines was the show she was really into this summer and if you missed an episode, you were totally lost! I told her everything would be fine. I had actually downloaded theÂ Verizon FiOS Mobile App before we left.

With the Verizon FiOS Mobile App, you can take your favorite shows with you. Simply grab your device and start streaming. My daughter likes the Cartoon Network, BBC America and Nickelodeon. This time of year, I’m really into NFL Network, NFL RedZone and my wife watches the Food Network and a few others like NBC and FOX (Which was the channel Wayward Pines was on).

My favorite things about the FiOS Mobile app, is it lets you stream On Demand movies and shows, schedule recordings remotely and control your TV right from your phone. I was able to record my wife’s show and we were able to get back to enjoying our vacation.

Binge Watching!Â

I am a big fan of binge watching. But sometimes, I’m so engrossed in a show, I’ll miss a lot of important stuff. I decided to go back and re-binge on my three favorite Netflix series. Here they are in no particular order.

1. Orange Is The New Black – Jenji Kohan’s comedy/drama is one of the best written series about women… ever! Smart, funny and an oddly moral center that helps you relate and gravitate towards the characters. Season 3 deserves a second viewing.Â Not that I’m biased, but I did get an amazing opportunity to go to #OrangeCon in New York City this past June and witness the series premier.Â

2. Daredevil – Netflix was given the daunting job of bringing some of Marvel’s most loved characters to the small screen. The first of these was Daredevil. Matt Murdock is aÂ attorney by day and vigilante by night. Blinded in an accident as a child, Murdock uses his heightened senses to fight crime on the streets of New York after the sun goes down. Exciting and dark, Netflix carved out their own section of the Marvel Universe by crafting well layered stories. Daredevil also features some of the best action sequences of 2015 that are worth a second viewing

3. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt -Â Ellie Kemper (â€œThe Office,â€ â€œBridesmaidsâ€) is one of the funniest and most lovable TV characters to come along in a couple of years. She plays Kimmy Schmidt, a woman who is rescued from a doomsday cult and starts life over as a nanny for a socialite (Jane Krakowski from â€œ30 Rockâ€) in New York City. Armed with just a backpack, light-up sneakers and a couple of past-due library books, she takes on a world she didnâ€™t think even existed anymore. The Reason I had to re-binge this one is because I laughed so hard the first time, I missed half the series! Also, the second funniest character on television is on this show.Â Tituss Burgess as Titus Andromedon is comic gold!

If you have nothing going on this week and a little extra time on your hands. Re-binge some of your favorite Netflix series, you’ll be surprised. There’s a lot of great stuff you might have missed!
