The fam and I are HUGE fans of all Asian-inspired food. Some of our favorite restaurants and recipes feature Asian cuisine… It’s just comfort food from another country! Last week, after my daughter mentioned we had never eaten them before, I decided to make rice balls. It’s a delicious dish that is easy to make and won’t take hours to cook. We grabbed one of our favorite Ling Ling Fried Rice meals and created Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice Balls!
Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice Balls
I always hit up my local Walmart whenever I need some Ling Ling in my life. I’m in there twice a week and I know exactly where everything is. They haven’t asked me to put on the blue vest yet, but I know it’s going to happen any day now! My family is all about the Ling Ling Fried Rice meals. They have become a staple in our weekly meal plans. There are five unique dishes based on pure and authentic Asian inspired recipes from Japan, China, Korea and Thailand.
Here’s a list of all the different styles they have.
- Yakitori Chicken
- Yakiniku Beef
- Thai-Style Chicken
- Chinese-Style Vegetable
- Bibimbap Beef
If you’re into Noodles and Dumplings that are also based on authentic Asian inspired recipes from across the region, try these new Ling Ling dishes.
Noodles:
- Chicken Yakisoba
- Drunken Noodles with Chicken
Dumplings:
- Chicken Dumplings in Chili Sauce
- Pork Dumplings in Chili Sauce
Ling Ling has an Infusion Cooking Method that makes them unique. Infusion Cooking means each grain of rice and noodle is infused with Ling Ling signature sauces for incredible flavor in every bite. It may be difficult to taste the difference between Ling Ling Fried Rice, Noodles or Dumplings and what you order from your favorite restaurant!
Now, it’s time to unveil my newest recipe…
Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice Balls
Ingredients:
- 1 package of Ling Ling Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice
- 2 eggs
- 1 can of non-stick cooking spray
Instructions:
- Cook 1 bag of Ling Ling Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice in the microwave for 4 minutes. (I like to cook it in the microwave for this recipe because you get a moister consistency.)
- Pour into mixing bowl and then add 2 raw eggs.
- Stir until you have a nice consistency.
- Spray mini-muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- Use a tablespoon to scoop out mixture, form it into a ball and put it into the pan.
- Cook on 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
- Rice balls should pop right out.
- You are looking for a nice crispy texture on the outside.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce. I like soy sauce or umami.
Enjoy!
