My family loves Italian food. One of our faves is simple to make and the whole family can get involved. Here is our Spaghetti Nests Recipe.
I’ve been making meat sauces since I was about twelve-years-old. My father used to make a mean meat sauce when I was growing up and he insisted that I learn the family recipe. One the main components of my dad’s sauce was ground beef. As an adult, I’ve never strayed very far from that recipe. My daughter recently said to me that she thought my sauce was kind of boring… What! You have to understand, my wife and I have been encouraging her to try new and interesting foods since she was four-years-old. We’ve raised a foodie. So, I can’t be to hurt about her comment. She was just wanting me to jazz up my meat sauce a bit. So, I decided to replace my tired old ground beef with Johnsonville All Natural Fresh Italian Mild Ground Sausage.
They had just started selling it at our local grocery store. I always thought you’d have to go to an Italian Market or a butcher to find a nice ground sausage. Johnsonville All Natural Fresh Italian Mild Ground Sausage is the convenient and easy way to cook your sausage.Â
It’s also gluten-free, dairy-free and all natural. I can’t begin to tell you what a difference this made in my meat sauce. It’s got a great flavor that adds a little something extra to all of your family’s favorite Italian recipes.Â
